Research & Graduate Studies

Fulfilling the university’s role as a world leader in knowledge discovery and dissemination, Research and Graduate Studies encourages and promotes research and scholarship through service to investigators and their sponsors. Under the tutelage and leadership of Terri L. Lomax, Vice Chancellor for Research and Graduate Studies, the office provides a model service environment using state-of-the-art systems and trained professionals.
Research and Graduate Studies Staff
The units reporting to the Vice Chancellor are Sponsored Programs and Regulatory Compliance Services, Proposal Development Unit, Office of Technology Transfer, Centennial Campus Partnerships Office, and the Graduate School. Sponsored Programs and Regulatory Compliance Services, the Proposal Development Unit, the Offices of Technology Transfer and Centennial Campus Partnerships are led by Associate and Assistant Vice Chancellors for Research while the Graduate School is led by a Dean, all of whom report directly to the Vice Chancellor.
The effective operation of this office involves strategic alliances and interactions among other university units such as the offices of the Provost and Finance and Business.
