John Cooper Elias, Agromeck yearbook editor: Michele had a tough task this year as the yearbook photo editor, but she did a great job. She managed the photo staff all year, and she helped us produce a high-quality product that we are all proud of. The most impressive thing about Michele was that while she had to deal with managing the photo staff she continued to grow as a photographer and shoot some of the best pictures I have ever seen from her during this year.

Kevin Sutton, a freshman in mechanical engineering, performs tricks on his unicycle in front of the southern entrance to the free expression tunnel. Saja Hindi, Technician editor: “David Mabe has easily become one of the most essential staff members we have. He is not only a great photographer but is also very dependable. David has also really helped out the section editors with online multimedia and has become a valuable resource to everyone on staff.”

Saja Hindi, Technician editor: Luis has consistently been one of our most dependable photographers. He gets his assignments in on time, picks up last-minute assignments and is always willing to help. He works with the section editors to come up with ideas and works with new photographers to help them critique their photos. He has taken a leading role in producing audio and photo slideshows this semester and keeps working till he gets the job done.

Cosgrove is a graduating senior in electrical engineering and computer engineering, and he is in his second semester on staff. “In all the chaotic mess that are the Student Media offices, we still produce some of the best publications in the country, and I’m proud to work for them,” John Cosgrove said.

Stephen is a junior in engineering and in his second year on staff. “Stephen has shown a real dedication to the paper this month, stepping up whenever he’s been needed,” Josh Harrell, Technician editor, said. Bateman has taken a lot of pictures and has been assessible to help to train new photographers.

Chris is a senior in aerospace engineering and in his second year on staff. “Chris has made himself available to the publications,” Photo Editor Josh Lawson said. “His quality of work has been spot on.”

Fisher is a junior in aplied mathematics and has already represented Student Media at teaching conferences in Washington, D.C. and St. Louis. According to Bradley Wilson, Student Media adviser, “Rob is a good shooter with a good sense of humor. He may not be the best, yet, but he’s learning a lot.”

Kickin back in his hidden fortress, Matt OBryant, a senior in film studies, prepares to accept the honor of Student Media Photographer of the Month for September. O’Bryant is a senior in arts applications and has worked for the Technician before this year as a designer, but this year he began taking photos. According to Pete Ellis, Technician photography editor, “Matt is one hell-of-a-guy. I know I can count on him to come back with high quality images.”
