O’Bryant is a senior in arts applications and has worked for the Technician before this year as a designer, but this year he began taking photos. According to Pete Ellis, Technician photography editor, “Matt is one hell-of-a-guy. I know I can count on him to come back with high quality images.”
The staff of the Agromeck yearbook received four national Gold Circle Awards from the Columbia Scholastic Press Association. The staff received a First Place Certificate in Yearbook Theme and Concept. Josh Bassett and Nathan Bullen received a First Place Certificate in Organization or Greek Spread. Taylor Templeton received a Certificate of Merit for Yearbook Sports Action Photograph. And Austin Johnson received a Second Place Certificate for Sports Reporting.
According to Nick Pironio, Technician photo editor, “Holly is a hard worker who likes to go out and look for features stories. We can always count on her to bring back some great images no matter what she is shooting.”
Anna is a freshman in criminology. According to Josh Bassett, Agromeck editor, “Anna is an excellent photographer. She is always enthusiastic about her assignments and is an all-around great person to have on staff.”
KANSAS CITY — The 2004 edition of the Agromeck yearbook won a Pacemaker award from the Associated Collegiate Press. This was the first Pacemaker for the Agromeck.
The Associated Collegiate Press selected the 2004 edition of N.C. State’s literary magazine, the Windhover, from 57 entries as one of five winners in the 2004 Magazine Pacemaker competition. This edition, affectionately known as “magazine in a box,” was edited by Shawna Jones and designed by Will Hall. The Windhover has received the award nine other times, including for the 2003 edition.
William is a sophomore in textiles engineering. According to Dan Ternes, Agromeck photography editor, “Will is an enthusiastic photographer and is always out shooting and improving his skill. The increasing quality of his shots attest to this.”
Jeff is a junior in communications. According to Austin Dowd, yearbook photography editor, “He is the man! Jeff has a great understanding of photography, and what the camera can and cannot do. I think his work is proof of that.”
Rebecca is a freshman in animal science. According to Austin Dowd, yearbook photography editor, “Both Rebecca and Peyton came in before school started and have shot on a regular basis and continue to produce solid work. We appreciate their dedication.”
Nick is a senior in agricultural business management. According to Jeff Reeves, Technician photography editor, “Nick isn’t afraid to take any assignment that we throw at him. He is one of our most reliable photographers. He always brings back a solid image.”
