Information Sessions

Information sessions can be outstanding opportunities to meet students in an informal setting on campus. These can be arranged well in advance of on-campus interviews and career fairs as a means of generating student interest in your organization.

1. Select a date [recruiting calendar]
2. Choose majors of interest [degree programs]
3. If associated with an on-campus interview: submit your request through ePACK
4. If not associated with an on-campus interview: contact the Career Center @ career_center@ncsu.edu

We will reserve a room for you in a building on campus where your preferred majors take classes. It is important to note that good attendance is not automatic. Your success depends upon good advertising!

Tips for successful information sessions

• Send a flyer to academic departments of interest.
• Advertise through targeted student organizations and student media.
• Use ePACK to identify potential candidates and invite them to attend.
• Refreshments are suggested; use University Catering, 919.515.2023 or vendor of your choice.
• Bring a recent NC State hire or current intern/co-op, when possible.
• Connect with the career counselor who works with majors of interest.
