Professionalism

Your professionalism is expected in every interaction you have with employers.  You are representing not only yourself, but also the standards of the UCC, your academic department, and NC State.

Principles of professional conduct
Here's what we expect from you and what you can expect from the UCC. Read our policy disclaimer as it relates to postings and links found on the UCC website.

Business etiquette & dining etiquette
Interactions with employers are more comfortable and professional when you know what to expect and how to respond.

Cancellation of on-campus interviews
When you are unable to make a scheduled interview, we expect that you will notify the UCC immediately.

Handling rejection during the job search
Rejection is part of the process; prepare for it, handle it, and don't let it affect your confidence.

Accepting a job offer
Your acceptance is a commitment -- just as your offer is a commitment from the employer.
