Update: Effective February 13, 2007, Microsoft began distributing the Daylight Saving Time (DST) patch as an automatic update for Windows XP SP2. Windows Vista does not require patching. If you had previously manually patched your computer, this update will still be applied without causing problems.
Computer desktops which are centrally managed should be patched automatically unless otherwise advised. Such computers include the Unity Windows and ETSS Novell based desktop environments, as well as various college-level environments. If you have questions, please contact your technical support group.
Computers which are not centrally managed and which are running Windows XP SP2 will receive the DST patches automatically through Windows Updates starting February 13, 2007. Otherwise, Windows computers must be patched manually. If you are responsible for patching your own system please refer to the links below:
