Current Status:
(Updated Friday, Sept. 5, 2:20 p.m.)
NC State University officials continue to monitor the forecasts for Tropical Storm Hanna, Hurricane Ike and Tropical Storm Josephine. The weekend forecast continues to change, with the latest predictions indicating Hanna is tracking on a more westerly path. Rain could be locally heavy at times and winds may gust at more than 30 miles per hour.
With stronger winds expected in the Raleigh area, use extreme caution when moving around campus and in considering arrival times for Saturday's football game, scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. Tailgating tents and awnings are particularly susceptible to strong winds and should not be used at this game.
This message will be updated if conditions change.
