Tara Vogelien provides administrative oversight for the Plants for Human Health Institute (PHHI), including Account Maintenance, Human Resources, Contracts and Grants, Facilities and Outreach. She serves as a liaison with main campus administrators in the College of Agriculture & Life Sciences Business and N.C. Agricultural Research Service offices as well as coordinating with institute departments in order to support PHHI faculty members. Tara oversees all of the institute budgets (state, grant, gift, receipt, etc.), assists in proposal development and processing (PINS and other pre-award activities), and oversees post-award accounts (Prior Approval Action requests, account maintenance, salary distributions, close-out forms and other post-award activities). She oversees logistics of human resources activities and recruitment coordination, monitors maintenance and facilities contracts, and acts as a point of contact resource for N.C. Research Campus initiatives and outreach opportunities.
