Dr. Jeremy Pattison, N.C. State Plants for Human Health Institute, is developing ways to help N.C. farmers grow and harvest strawberries during the winter. “Locals should be able to find N.C. strawberries on store shelves year-round. That’s the long-term goal,” says Dr. Pattison.
