2011 Winter Vegetable Conference and Trade Show
The Winter Vegetable Conference and Trade Show takes place annually in Asheville, N.C. The event is sponsored by the N.C. Tomato Growers Association (NCTGA), but offers educational opportunities and supports research efforts beneficial to all western North Carolina vegetable growers.
2010 Southeast Vegetable & Fruit Expo
The 25th Annual Southeast Vegetable & Fruit Expo, in cooperation with the South Carolina Fruit, Vegetable and Specialty Crop Association, will take place November 29 – December 1, 2010 in Myrtle Beach, SC.
Fall Tomato Production Workshop
This Extension workshop will focus on the production of high-quality tomatoes that can be sold at market from September until the first fall frost. Growers and Extension agents can attend at the Center for Environmental Farming Systems (CEFS) in Goldsboro, N.C.

Dr. Randy Woodson, Chancellor of N.C. State University, will be on hand to welcome attendees at the 2010 Tomato Field Day. Join him and other colleagues to discover the latest in research and production of fresh market tomatoes.
Outbreak Scenario for Tomato Growers
This interactive workshop will take growers through a simulated food safety outbreak scenario related to tomatoes, so they can understand the impacts on the farm and the industry as a whole and begin to plan ways to prepare and protect their farming operations.
Tomato Portal Web Tour
Join Dr. Chris Gunter, N.C. State vegetable production specialist, and other tomato experts at N.C. State University for a “virtual tour” of the Tomato Growers Information Portal, a new Web portal designed specifically for N.C. tomato growers and Extension agents.

N.C. Cooperative Extension agents from the West District will conduct the Tier 1 N.C. MarketReady Fresh Produce Safety—Field to Family GAPs training workshop at the Mountain Horticulture Research and Extension Center.
Southeast Regional Fruit & Vegetable Conference
This conference brings together the southeastern fruit and vegetable industry in Savannah, Georgia. Growers, vendors and suppliers of fresh produce are encouraged to attend this event; the largest educational conference and trade show in the southeastern United States. Educational programs and trade show activities will be held at the Savannah International Trade and Convention Center.
