New Faculty Orientation 2009- August 12, 13

Information

New Faculty Orientation will be a 2-day event sponsored by the Office of the Provost and organized by the Office of Faculty Development. Orientation is intended for all tenure-track faculty and full-time non-tenure-track faculty new to the University for fall 2009 and those who have come to NC State since July 1, 2008 but did not attend last year's NFO.

The purpose of the event is to provide information, skills and resources for faculty to successfully begin teaching, research, and extension and engagement activities at NC State and to familiarize faculty about NC State and the Raleigh/Wake County area.

The program provides opportunities for networking among new faculty members and interaction with experienced NC State faculty and university administrators. In addition, the Chancellor hosts a reception for all new faculty where they will meet Chancellor Woodward, Provost Arden, Deans, and other key administrators.

NOTE: Faculty in the Colleges of Engineering (COE) and Physical and Mathematical Sciences (PAMS) should attend the orientation sponsored by those colleges. The 2009 NFO will be held in the Walnut Room in Talley Student Center, 2610 Cates Avenue - buliding 102 on Central Campus Map

The 2009 Chancellor's Reception will be held after orientation on Wednesday, August 12th (Approximately 5:30 p.m.) in the Joyner Visitor Center, 1210 Varsity Drive at the intersection of Western Blvd. and Varsity Dr. - building 132 on South Campus Map

Registration - Due in by August 1, 2009
