Tommy has been teaching in the Outdoor Leadership Program since Fall, 2002. He enjoys teaching activity classes such as basic rock climbing, backpacking, sea kayaking, mountain biking, mountaineering, flatwater and whitewater canoeing. He also instructs seasonally for the North Carolina Outward Bound School.
Future plans include continuing research in the areas of technology and visitor's experiences and teaching activity and theory based classes in the outdoor education curriculum. Tommy is married to his wife Sevanne and they have one dog, Slinky. Tommy enjoys pursuing his hobbies of music, cooking, adventure and travel in his free time.
