RESOLUTION TO CLOSE COURSE EVALUATIONS
ON THE LAST DAY OF CLASSES
Whereas: University Planning and Analysis receives inquiries as to whether the window of time for student evaluation of courses and instruction may be left open after final exams; and
Whereas: University policy requires grades to be submitted within 48 hours after the final exam; and
Whereas: Withholding grades until after the final exam period closes could negatively impact graduating seniors; and
Whereas: Students have sufficient information to determine the quality of courses and instruction before receiving their final grades; therefore, be it
Resolved: That the Faculty Senate requests that University Planning and Analysis close the window of time for student evaluation of courses and instruction at 5:00 pm on the last class day of each term; and be it further
Resolved: That this applies to all courses, whether they are standard or non-standard terms.
