Service Quality

In order to maintain NC State’s accredited status, the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) requires every administrative and educational support service to document core outcomes, assessment procedures and results, and use of results for improvement. The purpose of this assessment is to systematically improve the quality of teaching, learning, research, service, extension and engagement at NC State. Continuous and ongoing assessment is intended to inform planning and decision-making and provide a gauge for the quality of all units.

To ensure service quality within the Office of Finance and Business, each unit will develop and implement an Assessment Plan that will include outcomes and measurements specific to the function of that unit. Annually, a written assessment report will be prepared by each unit to determine if outcomes are being achieved and, if not, corrective action needed. Finance and Business assessment activities will be documented on this website, based upon information received in the unit-level annual reports.
