Honors seminars cover a wide range of topics and a designed to foster interdisciplinary academic skills such as independent thought, discovery, debate and intellectual confidence.


Opportunity Advisors are always on hand to help you meet your goals.

The University Honors Program staff includes trained advisors who will be there for you throughout your undergraduate years, providing personal, academic and career advice. They can assist you in creating an appropriate coursework strategy, steer you toward internships or research opportunities and help you identify and apply for grants and/or scholarships.


Explore the world by taking part in study abroad opportunities.

Throughout your undergraduate years, the Program puts you in touch with opportunities for study abroad and international community service projects. Spending a semester, spring break or summer in other countries can help you gain a global perspective about your chosen field – and about your life.


Leadership workshops help you home the skills that lead to career success.

The University Honors Program sponsors special workshops on such topics as applying to graduate or professional school, national scholarship opportunities, grant writing, resume development, and more. Retreats based on leadership and ethics training provide additional opportunities for you to develop your personal skills.


The Honors Village is a supportive community centrally located on campus.

This special residential community is home to most incoming University Honors Program participants and many upperclassmen. In the Honors Village pages, we’ll take a look at Honors Village life and talk to some of the students who enjoy living there.
