NC STATE UNIVERSITY

    The GlaxoSmithKline Faculty Fellows Program

IEI is pleased to announce a call for applications for the 2010 class of GlaxoSmithKline Faculty Fellows.  The Faculty Fellowship program builds much needed capacity within North Carolina’s systems of higher education for policy-makers at every level to draw upon, creating champions within policy-making networks for new ideas based on solid research.

The University of North Carolina, the North Carolina Community College system and North Carolina’s independent colleges and universities represent crucial assets for the state as it prepares to meet the many challenges of the 21st century.  Through the generosity of the North Carolina GlaxoSmithKline Foundation, IEI provides Fellows with a platform and training to engage important policy issues facing our state.

Fellow activities include everything from writing opinion pieces for North Carolina newspapers, to shaping IEI’s programs of work and offering expert advice to policy-makers. Click here to see some of what the 2009 Fellows have accomplished to date.

If you are a faculty member at an institute of higher education in North Carolina and have an interest in public policy, the GSK Faculty Fellows Program may be right for you. See the calls for application below for more information, and remember to submit your completed application before November 13, 2009.
