IEI is now Accepting Applications for its GlaxoSmithKline Faculty Fellows Program?
This month the Institute for Emerging Issues (IEI) announced its call for applications for the 2008 class of the GlaxoSmithKline Faculty Fellows Program. In it’s third year, the program provides North Carolina faculty members with resources and opportunities to become engaged in public policy issues affecting the state.
Thanks to a generous renewal and expansion of the original grant by the North Carolina GlaxoSmithKline Foundation, IEI will increase the number of faculty fellows from three to six for each of the next three years and hire a full-time coordinator for the fellows program. Recognizing the contributions made by the state’s community colleges to the state’s long-term future, two of the six faculty fellows will be drawn from community college faculty.
