What Do You Think?

Higher Education, Access For All?
Some argue that increasing access to our state's system of higher education for children of undocumented immigrants will boost our economic competitiveness as we transition to a high-skilled economy. Others argue that incentives such as in-state tuition should be reserved for American citizens and taxpayers. Adding fuel to this important debate, the North Carolina Community College System recently announced that it will offer in-state tuition to children of undocumented students who graduate from North Carolina high schools.

IEI is committed to promoting smart economic development across North Carolina and we want to know what you think about this and other issues related to immigration in our state.
