Get your creative juices flowing!  IEI is kicking off EnergIEIz’d: Communities in the New Energy Economy, a video contest to find out what challenges and opportunities your community is facing in the new energy economy. 

We’d like a video snapshot of your community -- what work is already underway to address energy challenges, and where are the economic development opportunities for future growth to foster a thriving, sustainable community?  What impact will these opportunities and actions have on businesses and jobs in your local community?

The grand prize for the winning video is $1,000.  In addition, the video will debut at IEI’s Regional Forums this fall across the state and be featured on IEI’s website.  Regional Forums aim to help communities share and develop ideas for creating and expanding local jobs and businesses in the new energy economy.  

So get your ideas ready, and submit your community videos between June 1, 2008 and July 18, 2008.  Please review our contest rules, guidelines and submissions instructions.
