Changing Landscapes: Building the Good Growth State?

Working Groups

Prior to its annual Emerging Issues Forum, IEI convenes working groups to tackle issue-specific challenges identified through extensive research and meetings with issue stakeholders. The goal of the working group process is to produce a set of policy priorities that informs the structure and content of each Forum while establishing a course of action that will contribute to the state's future growth and prosperity.

Starting with a common vision of North Carolina's long-term energy challenges, the goal of this year's working groups is to produce a set of policy options that help meet the state's long-term challenges while bringing important economic development benefits to the state. These policy options will be centered on the areas of conservation, efficiency and renewable energy.
