Changing Landscapes: Building the Good Growth State?

Understanding North Carolina's New Energy Economy

North Carolina is facing complex energy challenges as production costs rise and population growth spurs demand. However, with thoughtful planning, informed leaders and innovative businesses, these challenges can be transformed into exciting opportunities.

We must take advantage of the opportunities available in new energy businesses, and at the same time support our existing industries as they change their practices.

If North Carolina pursues thoughtful change in the areas of regulation, finance, workforce development and technological transformation, our state will turn a threat into an opportunity, thus becoming a leader among other states and around the world.
