Changing Landscapes: Building the Good Growth State?

North Carolina is experiencing agonizing growing pains which present us with an opportunity to question the way we build now and in the future.  With dramatic increases in population and an economy in transition from manufacturing to technology and services, the landscape of our state is rapidly changing, but our infrastructure has been unable to keep pace.

The Institute for Emerging Issues’ program of work on growth and infrastructure seeks creative, visionary strategies to address these complex issues and committed leaders who are well-prepared to adopt and implement them.

As with any program of work, the Institute for Emerging Issues (IEI) will examine this issue from many vantage points through careful research and collaboration with a variety of stakeholders across North Carolina.  IEI invites you to join preeminent state, national and international thought leaders as we develop a vision for North Carolina as The Good Growth State.
