What
is Meridian?
Meridian is an electronic
journal, published bi-annually, dedicated to research and practice
of Information and Communication Technology in Kindergarten through 12th grade. Meridian features research
findings, practitioner articles, commentary, and book excerpts by
educational researchers, technology designers, classroom teachers,
and authors who wish to share and expand teaching and learning experiences
with computer technologies in K-12 classrooms and beyond.
An online journal has unique
aspects that differ from more traditional publication venues.
We strongly encourage authors to be creative in using the Internet
as an innovative publishing medium. Ideas include, but are not limited
to, video, audio and interactive components.
Are you considering submitting
but are unsure of expectations? Please review some sample
articles or email Meridian
and share your concerns with us. We will do our best to help.

How
to Submit a Manuscript
Manuscript Style &
Content
Submit
manuscripts electronically via email or on CD in HTML, RTF, or
text formats. Manuscripts should be approximately, but not
limited to, 5,000 words. Article files will not be returned,
so retain an original electronic file copy.
Include a cover file
with the manuscript that states: (a) title of the paper; (b) brief
biographies of authors with digital pictures of authors; and (c) author contact information (email,
mailing address, phone and fax).
All submissions must follow
APA style with correctly
formatted references included at the end of the paper.
Provide complete
references with your manuscript, including page citations, photo
credits, and graphics credits.
Since Meridian
is published online, we support authors who wish to take advantage
of the flexibility the Internet offers. The use of graphics, links,
animation, video, or audio components is strongly encouraged. Meridian
editors normally can provide some assistance to authors who are unfamiliar with
these types of file formats.
