Research Summary
Dr. Li’s research interests include energy and environmental engineering and particle technology. Our research focuses on the design, synthesis, and characterization of nano catalyst and reagent particles for biomass and fossil energy conversions, green liquid fuel synthesis, CO2 capture, and pollutant control. Our research also encompasses chemical reaction engineering and process synthesis and optimization. Density Functional Theory (DFT) based method is also used elucidate the fundamental reaction mechanism of the (nano) particles as well as potential ways to improve their performances.
