See Ya'll in China!

      After more than half a year's planning, recruiting and pre-trip preparation, and despite some last minute change and the rising flu issues, 23 students and faculty in the Summer Study in China program finally set their feet on the flight to Beijing on May 19th.

    For the majority of them, it is their first trip to China. Although they have been oriented about Chinese culture, language and customs by Confucius Institute faculty, there are still alot for them to explore in this fast-growing country with 5000 years' civilization.

     The group is mixed with students from NC State and St. Augustine's College. During the five-week program, they will be enrolled in an intensive language course at Nanjing Normal University. On weekends, they will participate in cultural activities and excursions to Beijing, Shanghai, Suzhou and Yellow mountain.

      There is no doubt that some of them would like to go back, after this life-changing experience.
