1. The Board of Trustees of the Endowment Fund of North Carolina State University at Raleigh recognizes that its primary fiduciary responsibility is investing and managing the University's endowment in a manner that maximizes the return on those investments while it minimizes the amount of risk to which the endowment portfolio is subjected;

2. The Board of Trustees of the Endowment Fund also believes in the fundamental human rights of all people, including the right to enjoy full citizenship and equal opportunity in the economic, social, cultural and educational activities of their country;

3. The Board of Trustees of the Endowment Fund of North Carolina State University at Raleigh recognizes the Sullivan Principles as a guide for determining a company's commitment to the advancement of citizenship and equality;


4. The Treasurer and the Fiscal Agent, in applying the investment principles for the Endowment Fund's portfolio, will be guided by the Sullivan Principles and/or other appropriate corporate policies embodying the essence of the Sullivan Principles;
