ncsu.edu redesign

A university-wide Website Advisory Committee has been charged by Chancellor James L. Oblinger with the redesign of the university ncsu.edu homepage and several top-tier pages. This 30-member committee representing faculty, staff, students and alumni will evaluate the current site and its architecture and usage, investigate best practices at other universities, and based on those evaluations will redesign and launch a new Web presence. Because the homepage represents NC State’s single largest opportunity to communicate with various internal and external audiences, the new site should be dynamic and offer new and engaging content that reflects the character of the NC State community.

The goal is to have several prototype pages ready for review by the campus community before the beginning of the 2006 fall semester. Frequent updates of the committee’s progress on the redesign will be posted on this site. A blog (link) is also available for an ongoing discussion on the redesign process.

At right are links to various aspects of the redesign process. We welcome and encourage input from all visitors to the ncsu.edu website.
