ResNet Technicians are full-time NC State undergraduate students. ResNet
Technicians do not have to currently live on campus; however, they
are expected to be able to get to any area of campus within 15 minutes
during their working hours. Their primary job function is to provide
network support, virus removal and spyware cleanup through on-site visits to
residents with ResNet connections. Incoming students who will be
living on campus will be considered for employment.
ResNet hires many students to work during move-in weekend and the first week of classes because this is the time when most
students are getting connected to ResNet and need the most assistance. This position is temporary and there is no long-term committment required.
All ResNet staff are expected to arrive on campus early in the fall for training and to prepare for move-in weekend. Training usually begins approximately one week before the first day of classes.
