Your Macintosh operating system has all of
the necessary software you need to use your ResNet connection to
connect to the Internet. This document describes how to set up your
Macintosh running OS X for ResNet. Before following the instructions
in this document, make sure your 10BaseT cable is plugged into the
correct wall jack.
If you have not used your Macintosh on another
network, chances are that if you plug in the network cable it will
just work without additional configuration. If it doesn't, you'll
need to follow the directions below.
Click on the System Preferences icon in the MacOS X dock.

Click on the Network icon to open the network preferences.

Change the Show drop down menu to Built-in Ethernet.
(On some Macs it may be called "Ethernet built-in" or
something else with "Ethernet" in the name.) Change the
Configure menu to Using DHCP. Everything else in this
box should be left blank. Click Apply Now. Then close the
network preferences box.

You may be prompted to save the configuration changes. If you are,
just click Save. You should be connected to ResNet now.
