Media win SCJ excellence awards

The national Society for Collegiate Journalists has announced the winners of its annual publications and broadcasting contest, with Agromeck, Technician and WKNC among the honorees. SCJ recognizes the top submissions for yearbook, newspaper, broadcasting, magazine and online media along with offering awards for individual writing and imaging and overall excellence.

Yearbook named national champion

NCSU students receive statewide recognition in writing, design and photography

N.C. State Student Media’s Agromeck yearbook and Windhover literary and arts magazine were named “Best of Show” by the North Carolina College Media Association at its fifth annual statewide convention Feb. 18 at Winston-Salem State University. Agromeck earns Gold Circle awards

The Columbia Scholastic Press Association has honored the 2011 Agromeck staff with 13 Gold Circle Awards. In its 29th year, the Gold Circle Awards recognize individual achievement by student writers, editors, designers and photographers. Agromeck finalist for Crown award

Columbia Scholastic Press Association has named the 2011 Agromeck yearbook as a finalist for one of its coveted Crown awards. The 376-page full color book will receive either a Gold or Silver Crown during the Spring National College Media Convention March 18-20 in New York.
