Should an error occur
- Document the error with the source, the reporter(s) and editor(s) involved.
- Determine whether a clarification or correction is warranted.
- Publish a clarification or correction as soon as possible, usually the next day.
- Follow up with a phone call and written communication from the editor to the source(s) in question.
