N.C. State has a variety of logos, all with different uses, according to the 2009 branding guidelines, “the N.C. State wolf, the block ‘S’ and the diamond logo are symbols of school spirit.”

Images of the Bell Tower and the official university seal however, are more formal representations of the University.

The “diamond” NSC logo is no longer used in the Department of Athletics.

N.C. State RED

The colors of NC State University are red and white. The red is PMS 186, effective Feb. 1, 2006. When a

bright red is specified as a color on a two-color or three-color design, PMS 186 should be used. In four-color process printing, a match to PMS 186 can be built from the process colors — C-0 M-100 Y-81 K-4. The RGB equivalent is R-204 G-0 B-0 or #CC0000.
