Assumption of Risk

Registration Information:

Registration opens: Monday, August 24 @ 9:00a

Registration closes: Monday, August 31 @ 5:00p

Cost:
The tennis ladder will cost $10/participant. Participants will be emailed with specific payment instructions at the end of the initial registration period.

Manager Meeting Information:

No manager meeting scheduled. Registered participants will receive information about the tournament after the initial registration period ends.

Who can play Intramural Tennis?
  • Currently enrolled undergraduate or graduate students with a valid NC State All Campus Card
  • NC State Faculty and Staff with a valid Carmichael Gym membership

Who can NOT play Intramural Tennis?

  • Current scholarship tennis players or anyone listed on the athletic roster provided by NC State
  • Household members

How many teams can I play for?

  • Each individual may play singles and be a member of one duals team

Forfeits and Defaults

  • The forfeit charge for tennis will be $5.00 for singles and $10.00 for doubles
  • Forfeit charges must be paid in the Campus Recreation office within four business days or prior to the next sport entry date, whichever comes first.  Failure to pay will result in the team being dropped from the scheduled competition and the captain's student account being charged

Individual/Dual Sports Format: Ladder Structure

  • The Tennis Ladder will be played as a regular season followed by a single-elimintation tournament
  • Participants will be able to challenge each other to matches through the ladder software after the initial registration period ends. Participants can play as many or as few matches as they wish. More specific information regarding this software will be sent to participants after the initial registration period ends.
  • The following divisions will be offered: Men's Singles, Women's Singles, Men's Doubles, Women's Double, Co-Rec Doubles.

Inclement weather

  • Should inclement weather prevent you from playing a match scheduled with your opponent, it is your responsibility to notify the Campus Recreation office if this will prevent you from completing your match by the play-by date
  • Failure to notify the Campus Recreation office of a reason for delay will result in the forfeiture of both participants/teams
