2012-2013 book submissions have been received!

The deadlines for the 2012-2013 edition of Windhover were as follows:

December 20th, 2012: Priority Deadline

January 20th, 2013: Final Deadline

 

All submissions for the current edition of the book have been received, and emails will be sent within the next week letting those who submitted know whether or not their works will be featured in print this year.

The Spring Open Mic Night took place on February 27th at the Crafts Center, running from 7:00 to about 9:45. Keep an eye on the website for upcoming photographs, video clips and other media from the Open Mic Night!

Distribution Locations

Thanks to everyone who came to the release party on Monday, April 16. The Windhover staff will now be working diligently to distribute the magazine across campus. Most copies will have a bookmark with a download code for the audio content. Visit www.ncsu.edu/windhover/audio for for the download.

Congratulations to Lisa Dickson!

Lisa Dickson, junior in arts applications, is the new Windhover editor. She’ll be taking over in May 2012. Congratulations Lisa!

In other news, the book has been sent to the printer, so mark your calendar for the Release Party, April 16 at the Crafts Center, 6 p.m. Food, drinks and your copy of the 2012 Windhover await. It’s beautiful, get excited.

New Student Media Leaders: Applications Open!

The 2012-2013 Student Media leader application is now open. Co-editorships are allowed. Visit this link to view the application process and to apply.

If you would like to view past position papers, come by the Student Media office M-F between 10am and 4 pm. These cannot be taken out of the office and copies cannot be made, they are for viewing only. The current Windhover editor will leave several materials to aid the new editor, include a production schedule, tips and recommendations, and a month-by-month schedule for running the magazine.
