Resources for our Poe Hall community
Good afternoon,
As we near the end of the spring semester, we want to reiterate our gratitude for your continued patience as we await more information on the environmental assessment of Poe Hall. Our environmental experts and internal teams continue to balance timelines for testing plans with university infrastructure needs — particularly with the Central Campus main distribution frame project. Please know that we are working to get answers about the building environment as quickly as possible.
The lines of communication between the university and our agency partners remain open. We continue to consult with outside agencies to ensure we are following best practices and aligning with federal regulations and guidance on any necessary next steps for the building.
As you focus on your end-of-term projects and summer planning, please know we are working to retrieve or replace the supplies and equipment that you have said are essential for the summer and fall terms. If you have specific concerns or questions about Poe Hall, you can call 919-513-3358 or email ncstateemmc@ncsu.edu. The questions and answers section of the Poe Hall Updates website is continually being updated to better address community concerns.
We’d also like to encourage you to use the university resources available to you. The Faculty and Staff Assistance Program is confidential and free to all NC State employees, and therapists and embedded counselors with the NC State Counseling Center serve students in every college through telehealth and in-person sessions.
We are so appreciative of the care you show our community — and we are dedicated to showing you the same support. As we learn more, we will continue to keep you informed via email and the Poe Hall Updates website.
Thank you.
